Re-recognize some "Monsters and Ghosts"

First, "Zombie": Zombie _ a living corpse, a corpse, a living dead, and so on. It is a legendary monster that can be moved like a live person. However, it is generally translated as zombies in Hong Kong and the Mainland.

Haiti living corpse:

Is the "living corpse" in the movie or existing  world? Will iy draws human blood like a vampire? Some people say that the living corpses in all Western movies are inspired by the  zombies of Haiti. Located in the Caribbean Sea, Haitian believes in voodoo. According to local folklore, there have been existing  "living dead people", but living bodies are different from vampires. They are not self-conscious, have no thoughts, but the slaves of wizards.

In 1982, the American "National Enquiry" shocked the Haitian black Nasis about a living dead in the West. Narcis claimed that he died at the Albert Schweitzer Hospital in Haiti on May 2, 1962. He said that when he was convicted of death, he still had consciousness, but he couldn’t move, even seeing doctors took sheets to cover his face. Afterwards, a witch doctor saved him, turned Nasis into a zombie  and converted him to be a slave as a dead man in a sugar cane garden for several years.

Haitian local believes in voodoo, believes that voodoo has the magic of reviving to life, and thus exists the story of many walking dead. Voodoo originated in the 16th century, when a large number of African black slaves were imported to Haiti, bringing the original religion of Africa, and then evolved into a mysterious and terrifying voodoo.

Haitian voodoo zombies don’t bite when they see people but they are in a state of no self-awareness. Many people believe that voodoo may rely on the " tetrodotoxin" and the local mandalas called "Zombie Cucumber" to further control the living dead.

Both the tetrodotoxin and the mannomycin's alkaloid toxins are neurotoxins. The former is extremely lethal, and the small amount causes the metabolism to become extremely slow. All signs of life are disappearing. The Japanese are fond of eating puffer fish although government regulation has been very strict.  People still get poisoned and killed every year.

Also, because " tetrodotoxin " causes a numerous signs of death in life, it does not really kill people completely. It is obvious that the fearful tragedy of the burial or cremation is occasionally occurred about poisoned but marginal death people.

It’s the result of the living corpse in Haiti. Some evil wizards know how to mix the appropriate tetrodotoxin to make people die, and the alkaloids of the mandalas may cause them to lose their ability to think autonomously. After being buried, the "corpse " was excavated that night then the antidote was given. So that the almost dead people could become a "living dead" who had normal physical activity but could not think and could only obey, and was sold to a farm in a remote area as slave labor. Regard to the ability to think autonomously-- if the time is delayed or the brain cells would be destroyed too much, they will never be able to recover. However, if they are not under sever conditions, let them eat a pinch of salt, sometimes they can recover with self-perception  because of the salt( the element of sodium is replaced).

However, Haiti’s living corpses do not attack people, do not bite people, do not draw human blood and do not infect others. Therefore, it is right to say that "living corpses" or "zombies" exist, and there are some survey. During the peak period in Haiti, It may be as many as hundred but it is too exaggerating to say thousands.

Therefore, taking "live corpses" or "Zombies" as the subject of movies, and describing them as "vampires", like plagues and monsters, and thousands of zombies chasing living people, it is too exaggerated and nonsense. How can the movie be played adopting such contents? It’s so different and ridiculous.

Second, "Zombies": literally straightforward, is the rigid corpse. So, in a broad sense; the Egyptians' mummies after the anti-decaying treatment, or the "dry corpse" that is naturally dried in the desert, even the Buddhist stilts in the big containers as so-called "full body Relics" of sitting is regarded as the same kind. Since it is stiff, of course, there will be no activities, let alone autonomous jumping forward, even if forced to open by human power--- it will cause damage to the body. Therefore the legend In the middle of the movie or in the movies, those "zombies" that straighten their hands and leg and still could chase people around, there is no such thing. (Note: Go to the temple to worship these golden monk Relics, that is similar as worshipping the "zombies"!)

As for the origin of the legend of zombies, the most frequent occurrence in Xiangxi, mainland China, may originated from the legend of the local Xiangxi. The ways to make zombies moving belong to the Maoshan technique, from the branch, originated in Xiangxi Fuling, Tunxi, Chenxi, Zhangpu four counties, when the corpse was not corrupted, the sorcerers rushed the corpse back to the hometown to bury. The sorcerers worked as a group for 3 to 5 peoples.  Some used the rope to tie the body, every few feet then put a yellow spell paper on the forehead, and the other ringed the bell to open the road, crouching at night. Before sunrise, they stopped and stay in suburban area.  The spell paper was lifted and the corpse stood against the wall.

Then they will continued on the trip at night again.

Modern research is more inclined to interpret Xiangxi zombies as: the local road is small, only one person can walk, in order to transport the deceased, align the two corpses with two long bamboos poles, through a row of corpse sleeves to lift the two body at one time. At the end, the strong man picked up like a sedan chair.  Since the transporter dressed in black at night, the passer-by would naturally not see the transporter, thinking that there was a zombie. And because the bamboo is elastic, the corpse will swing up and down when the corpse is carrying the body, so there is an image of the zombie stretching his hands and jumping. At night, it looks like a group of people stretching their hands and jumping forward with their knees. The legend of the corpse is therefore gone. This statement also explains why people who carry the corpse of the corpse have at least 170 centimeters or more, and they are strong because they can have enough strength and height to take the deceased home.

Usually, two strong men, with two bamboo poles can lift three dead bodies, but there are also some opportunistic wizards. In order to save labor or rush the corpse is far away from destinations, so will cruelly use the knife to separate the body, only retain the head of the body Department, the small arm and the palm of the hand, a small part of the calf and the sole of the foot, the other torso parts are bundled with dry straw, which will reduce most of the weight, it is better to "lift", when returning to the hometown to change clothes, it will Intimidation is used to prohibit relatives from visiting before ceremony, so that they will not be suspected------ anyway, once they are put into the coffin; if they are buried in the soil, so no one will doubt.

Therefore, whether it is "living corpse" or "Zombie", it has nothing to do with "ghost spirit". "Ghost spirit" will not be attached to these corpses.

"Baby Ghosts": There are already detailed articles, which are omitted here.

3. "Haunted House": Some "ghost spirits" who stay in the Yang space will like to hide in the old dark houses. However, it is not the old houses, the old castles or the bunkers in the battlefield. The so-called haunted house may not necessarily be haunted, so there are very few "haunted houses" in the world that are really haunted for a long period of time.

Supplementary note: The legendary " Mô-sîn-á  " in Taiwan is not a "ghost spirit". It is probably a creature we are unknown; because many of the legends mention people had been taken away by the " Mô-sîn-á  " since ancient times, and most of the elderly and children who are looking for survival later will Describe "Someone takes them to play, and they are eager to ask them to eat chicken legs and red turtles." When they are found, apart from some insanity, they often find cow dung, mud, grass hoppers or frog legs in their mouths. Assume that " Mô-sîn-á  " is a "ghost spirit". When there is no such strong physical actuation ability, it is impossible to catch or take these things for them to eat.

"Ghost spirit" can interfere with the brainwaves of some weak electric systems or people, but ghost could not to move even a leaf or a stamp because of no physical actuation ability.

Note: Other related content will be supplemented in the future.

Note: The flower of Datura mandala is toxic, the most toxic is fruits and seeds, and the toxicity of dry leaves is smaller than that of fresh leaves. The folks use mandala flowers to treat cough and asthma in the elderly. They often pick flowers and stir-fry pork or add ribs and soup. Because they can't control the dose accurately, they are easy to be mental illness due to overdose. Some people use fresh leaf mash juice to treat them. snake bites, swollen sores and bruises.

Tin the Chinese folk novel " Seven Heroes and Five Gallants " and the anaesthesia in "Water Margin" are mandala. In addition, the "Compendium of Materia Medica" records: "It is said that this flower brewing drink, induced laughter and dancing." "Hot wine, mixed the two mini grams, when the child lost conscious, apply the moxibustion should not feel painful." It can be seen that the anesthetic used in minor surgery has been used with mandala flowers and marijuana flowers (marijuana).

Mandala poisoning usually occurs 15 to 30 minutes after taking the poison, the slowest 3 hours. Clinical manifestations belong to parasympathetic inhibition and central nervous system excitability. The patient first feels dry mouth, hot flushes, rapid heartbeat, dizziness and then may have auditory hallucinations, illusions, confusion, and laughter. Impermanence, muscle twitching, and even symptoms such as convulsions and coma. In addition to elevated body temperature, high blood pressure, dilated phobia and urinary retention; the severity of symptoms of poisoning is related to dose, flower, fruit, a few The leaves may cause poisoning, and the topical mandala will cause systemic symptoms of poisoning.

The poisoning of the mandala flower is mainly caused by a variety of alkaloids similar to atropine in the whole flower. After eating, the pupil will be enlarged, the whole body will be hot and dry, the heartbeat will be accelerated, and even the hallucination will occur. At this time, the patient should be sent to the doctor quickly, in an experienced emergency or The antidote physostigmine was used under the supervision of a physician in the Department of Toxicology.
